In 2005, Japan was shocked by the case of a 16-year old girl, who tried over a period of months to poison her mother with Thallium. The true story of the "Thallium Girl" is the basis of this boundary-breaking exercise in film-making: good and evil, fact and fiction, human and machine -- everything becomes indistinguishable and merges with everything else. Thriller, vivisections video, high school mobbing drama, essay on genetic engineering and body-art experimental film – this film is all of these things. And something quite unique: punk as film.
