Ronja Niendorff, director of the MICHEL Kinder und Jugend Filmfest:
When parents divorce, everything changes - especially for the children. In the Korean film SCATTERED NIGHT, 10-year-old Sumin and her older brother Jinho are in such a situation; their mother and father will separate. The film begins at the moment when the parents deliver the news to their two children. But nothing else is clear. Who will live with whom? And where? The parents don't know it themselves and ask Jinho and Sumin for some patience. But how can you have patience when your whole life breaks down?
