Mehdi Barsaoui's film is one of my highlights from this year's programme - an intense, straightforward work. For a first feature film, EIN SOHN is an incredibly well-versed piece of cinema: an exciting, excellently played drama about a couple of parents fighting for the survival of their son. At the same time, Mehdi Barsaoui's film reveals a lot about Tunisian contemporary society.
