This merry farce depicts a satirical view of the French society: Twelve year old Zazie has to stay a couple of days with her uncle Gabriel in Paris, because her mother wants to spend some time with her lover. However Zazie escapes her uncle’s custody and sets out to explore Paris on her own.
Louis Malle, (*1932; †1995) started his career as camera operator and assistant to Jacques Cousteau. He was an outstandingly versatile director with a broad range of concerns and styles.
