Story
One last day in in Sofia: at the centre of this Bulgarian drama, co-produced in Hamburg, stands a muscular anti-hero, who is taking his leave of his home country. Nikola, a man of around 50, is unhappy with his shattered life. He sees his future in Germany. But before he tries a new start there, he’d like to achieve closure with his past. Nikola sets off on a farewell tour of the city to save relationships that are important to him. In so doing, he reveals the paradoxes in his emotional world: everything that links him to his home is at the same time a reason to leave.
