Story

DOCUMENTARY Anatomy of a union campaign: In the straightforward approach of Direct Cinema, a pair of directors dissect US industrial disputes of the 21st century in detail. Outside the biggest Amazon warehouse in New York, the air smells of hot dogs, burgers and grass. The Amazon Labor Union has unconventional strategies to win over workers from the multi-national. They want to establish the first trades union in a US Amazon plant. To convince the staff, tired after an 11-hour shift, the union workers not only have to fend off the company’s attempts at intimidation, but also overcome interpersonal tensions in order to be able to fight for better conditions for all.
