Story
With a star ensemble – including Benicio del Toro, Tilda Swinton, Frances McDormand and Bill Murray – Wes Anderson brings four stories to life that were intended for publication in the last edition of a magazine. To mark the death of publisher Arthur Howitzer Jr., the staff of The French Dispatch, an American magazine based in the French town of Ennui-sur-Blasé, assemble to put together an obituary. Thus, four stories are told featuring memories of Howitzer: a travelogue about the most notorious corners of the town itself, a story about a crazy, criminal painter, a tale of love and death at the highpoint of the student revolt – and another about drugs, kidnapping and haute cuisine.
