Story
A melancholic film about farewells and the silence in which past generations echo. Stepne received the Golden Leopard for Best Director at the Locarno Film Festival. Anatoliy returns to his home village to care for his dying mother. There, he is confronted with his past and the history of his country as he reflects on his life and choices.
