Story
DOCUMENTARY A formally dense, yet gripping film on the effects of the Russian war of aggression on the Ukraine. A Polish minibus picks its way through rubble-strewn streets. At the wheel sits director Maciek Hamela, who is voluntarily picking up people trying to flee to the West. His camera is mostly pointed at the rear seats where the refugees give testimony to what they have experienced and left behind. The van becomes a fragile, temporary place of refuge. A zone of openness and solidarity.
