Story
A melodrama that lies somewhere between reverie and tragedy. Mathieu Amalric tells the story of a woman who leaves everything behind. One morning, Clarisse (Vicky Krieps) decides to leave her husband Marc and her children Lucie and Paul. Just like that, with no warning. While Clarisse drives further away from the house, time passes: The four photos on the fridge become three, Clarisse’s perfumes and shampoos are thrown out by Marc, while little Paul still eagerly awaits his mother’s return and Lucie tries to make fun of her father and brother. Where is Clarisse? When she eventually returns home, no-one is there.
