Story
An Armenian village on the border to Azerbaijan, shortly after the Azeri-Armenian conflict. The villagers, a cluster of farmers and fugitives, find a dying buffalo, which they bring to a large farm, the centre of their community. The cinema audience sees the action through the eyes of the buffalo. A whole year passes. Sunshine, snow, weddings, fights, milking, herding. All captured in what the director calls”a mixture of documentary images and live action… I don’t like dialogue-based films – I let the images tell the story.”
