Story
In the rainy off-season in Rimini, a washed-up pop singer basks in the remnants of his fame. Whether as a singer or gigolo – with plenty of »Amore Mio«, the once celebrated pop star Richie Bravo (Michael Thomas) warms the hearts and beds of bus tourists and ladies of more mature age. His good years are behind him. He finances his dissolute lifestyle with performances and love services that routinely roll off his tongue thanks to a rich fund of love phrases. The idyll is shattered when his grown-up daughter (Tessa Göttlicher) suddenly stands in front of him. She wants neither an autograph nor a hug, but the child support payments that have been missing for decades. For the ruthless survival artist, an abyss opens up – but also the faint hope of perhaps finding something like reconciliation and human recognition in his old age.
