Advance Party is this year’s Dogma. The story developed by from the directors Lone Scherfig and Anders Thomas Jensen unfolds in Glasgow where Jackie works in CCTV and discovers a guy on her videoscreen she had hoped she would never see again. She follows him to Red Road. Her motive is not clear. But tension keeps mounting, despite the fact that this is a film without a soundtrack.
British director Andrea Arnold (*1961) won the Short Film Oscar® for Wasp. Her feature films Red Road (2006) and Fish Tank (2009) won the Jury Prize at Cannes and a BAFTA Award respectively.
