Story
On the hunt in Transylvania: star director Cristian Mungiu sketches a tomograph of Romanian society with analytical precision and aesthetic mastery. Matthias has just returned to his Transylvanian village from his exhausting job in a German abattoir. Alienated from his wife and son, he longs to restart his affair with Csilla, the manager of the local bread factory. When her company starts hiring workers from Sri Lanka, the already conflicted local population protest – and xenophobia threatens to replace brotherly love, just before Christmas.
