A British whistleblower reveals exortionate machinations before the third Gulf War to the press and is arrested: a tense court drama based on a true story. Katharine Gun (Keira Knightley) works as a translator for British intelligence. Shortly before the start of the Iraq War in 2003 she sees a memo from the US secret service NSA. The contents: it is intended to blackmail the members of the security council so that they vote to support an invasion of Iraq.
