Story
1922, the poor Greek dressmaker Niki is on her way to the USA to meet her unknown groom. She is one of 700 so-called “mail order brides” travelling on board the “SS King Alexander”. During the voyage, she falls in love and starts a passionate affair with the wealthy American photographer, Norman. “Brides” is an opulent love-story soaked in gorgeous colours.
