A bizarre car accident unites three lonely souls: Li, widow of the deceased driver, accommodates Su-dan, a nightclub dancer and the accident’s only survivor, in her house. Xiao-chuan, Li’s traumatized adolescent son, subsequently falls in love with Su-dan. A tension between the innocent and the perverse is underlined by visual metaphors such as a giant, incomplete bridge over the Yang-tse-Kiang River. “Lost. Indulgence” received considerable attention at the Tribeca Film Festival.
