Story

Stages of an escalation: a strongly allegorical drama about patriarchal power in Algeria. Réda lives with his parents in a bourgeois part of Algiers. He holds a high post in the biggest oil and gas company in the country, which is run by his authoritarian father. Despite his position, Réda is uneasy: he’s not able to emancipate himself from his father – in contrast to his brother, who openly rebels. More and more frequently, Réda’s frustration translates to violence. When his father dies, Réda makes an alarming discovery: his mirror image has disappeared.
