Story
A portrait of a traumatised nation: America after 9/11. Having witnessed a crime, the idealist Lana (Michelle Williams) and her uncle, Paul (John Diehl), a Vietnam vet, join forces to see that justice is done. Their quest becomes a journey into the nation’s mentality – between hysterical paranoia and naive optimism. Wenders has referred to this as being his “perhaps most decidedly political film.”
