Story
1980s Quebec: 10-year old Hélène, who calls herself Jo after her heroine, has three sisters, a strict mother and an unhappy father. She observes the adults with a canny eye and finds a friend in Roger, a rough, but lovable old neighbour. With lots of imagination and courage and under pressure to grow up fast, Jo decides to save her father from his sadness and bring happiness back to her family.
