DOCUMENTARY A cinematic subterranean journey through the Madrid underworld. Claustrophobic, with virtuoso visuals and a mesmerizing soundtrack. An endless labyrinth of tunnels, sewers and subway stations – the dark zone of the metropolis, its hidden side – the area of operations for specialists who keep the infrastructure going and habitat for rats, cats and owls, who have adapted to the conditions. The urban underbelly is a living organism, a completely functioning system – but also a symbolic place: the city’s subconscious.
