Story

HYBRID A tourist hotspot becomes the place where geological eras merge We’re in Krabi in Southern Thailand. The year is 2562 – according to the Buddhist calendar. Once upon a time, Leonardo DiCaprio shot The Beach here. Today, modern capitalism in the form of tourism and advertising meets local folklore and a prehistoric settlement history. Directors Ben Rivers and Anocha Suwitchakornpong remove the borders separating the various layers of history and make them merge. A woman with a variable identity leads the audience through Krabi in magical 16mm pictures.
