Love, hope, and betrayal: in powerful images the life of Jesus is transported into a country torn apart by civil war, military dictatorship, and revolt. British theatre and opera director Mark Dornford-May won the Golden Bear at the Berlinale 2005 with UCarmen e-Khayelitsha and here once more worked with the brilliant actors from the South African theatre ensemble Dimpho di Kopane.
