Story
A couple live with their teenage son on a hill overlooking a small town. The mother earns the family upkeep by washing bedclothes for the local hotels. But there are problems with the water supply, which is at best irregular. One day, a father arrives with his daughter. Using a divining rod, they promise to find a spring in the parched earth, dig a well there and resolve the family’s precarious situation. In reality, however, the newcomers are fulfilling a need much stronger than the thirst for water. Thirst is a quiet, intense drama, in which the tensions between the five characters slowly come to a head via body language rather than words.
