Story
Based on a true story set in the provincial Japan of 1965, a mining village is set to overcome obsolescence by becoming a tourist attraction as Japan’s first Hawaiian village, Hula girls and all. But how to dance the Hula? Not everyone is convinced. A passionate dance instructor from Tokyo is faced with a sceptical, conservative village population.
