Story
In the Philippine hinterland, a young girl dreams of just disappearing. Over and over again, she creeps into the woods to indulge in her nightly game of hide and seek – understandably, as her father is only interested in drinking and watching cock fights with his mates, and her mother just quotes the Bible all the time. After a theatre performance, things escalate: people start disappearing. In this fragmentary horror film, Raya Martin interweaves elements of South-East Asian mythology with references to classic Hollywood films. A confusing cinematic event, full of foreboding and allusion. Screening on 28.09. in attendance of: Arleen Cuevas (Producer)
