Story
A tunnel project, an ethnologist who collects lost life forms and Polish migrant workers who dream of a future far from home: a lingering film about belonging and disappearing. A tunnel is planned to link Germany and Denmark. Ethnologist Dara documents the houses to be demolished. The young Pole Lucek and his colleagues are preparing the building site. Käthe works on the ferry. Birte and Leif are leaving the house their family has lived in for generations. Agnes’ life is reflected in her diary entries. A Danish summer: long days turn to blue nights. People meet, then their ways part once more.
