Story

Fathers on the verge of a nervous breakdown: Arturo, Poli and Chus are going through a difficult phase – their daughters have fallen in love. And of course the beloved boyfriends don’t in the slightest meet the expectations of the conservative patriarchs: one is a hippie with dreadlocks, another a slacker who takes drugs and the third an art photographer with playboy aspirations. These guys are their daughters’ future? Never! Arturo, Poli and Chus leave no stone unturned in their efforts to get rid of their potential sons-in-law. The fast-paced comedy about male stereotypes was a big hit in Spain.

CARLOS THERÓN (*1978) is a specialist in weird but very successful Spanish comedies. In 2017, FILMFEST HAMBURG showed his film For Your Own Good.
