Story
Mariana (Paola Mendoza) follows the father of her children from Columbia to New York. But then he leaves them for good and she finds herself alone with her 10-yearold son Gabriel and her six-year-old daughter Andrea, in the middle of a foreign city, with no money, no job, no knowledge of the English language. Soon Mariana and the children start collecting empty cans for a living. The love they feel for one another unifies them as they cling on to the American dream.
