Story
Comedy about the everyday German life of a Turkish family with three grown-up daughters. The latter are in despair at their father’s stubbornness and an age-old Anatolian tradition: the eldest must marry first, only then may the younger ones follow suit. But Hatice can’t find a husband and time is running out: her sister Fatma has just got pregnant. Based on Hatice Hakyün’s eponymous best-seller and adapted for film by Ruth Toma, every imaginable cliché about Turkish and German idiosyncrasies are touched on – only to be gently satirized. Screening on 28.09. in attendance of: Buket Alakus (Director), Ruth Toma (Screenplay), Idil Üner, Adnan Maral, Steffen Groth (Cast)
