Story
Emanuel Goldfarb, a German Jew, receives an invitation to lecture schoolchildren on his relationship to German society. Goldfarb thinks it’s a ridiculous idea: “Hasn’t there been enough said about it already?” However, his letter of refusal swells into a confrontation with his own identity. German stage and film star Ben Becker delivers an intense monologue.
