Story
20 years ago, Joaquim Pinto was diagnosed with HIV and Hepatitis C. In 2011 he began treatment with new medication which has serious, consciousness-altering side effects. The film is Joaquim’s year-long therapy diary, which philosophizes on European spending cuts and their effects on health services. Or on the nature of the epidemic and its history. These reflections are set against the visual metaphor of nature: forest fires in the region, fought by the director and his husband, and images of animals. An essay about friendship, love – and surviving against all odds. Screening on 04.10. in attendance of: Joaquim Pinto (Director)
