Story
Powerful, sensitive and playful: Pia Marais’ debut film portrays a society where parents and children seem to have swapped roles and responsibility and commitment no longer seem important. Stevie has two homeless hippies for parents. When they move from Portugal to the German provinces, the 14-year old finally hopes for a normal, regulated family life. But it soon becomes clear that Axel and Lily are once again engaged in illegal activities to finance their lifestyle. To make herself more interesting to her peers, Stevie claims that her parents are diplomats. The more the house fills with their friends and hangers-on, the more Stevie is forced to take a decision.
