Story

“Adhen” treats the confrontation of modern capitalism with traditional religion. Rabah Ameur-Zaïmeche plays the part of Mao, owner of a palette factory in an industrialzone outside Paris. In an attempt to emphasize the relationship between work and devotion to Allah, Mao wants to build a mosque for his employees. But the mutual religion does not succeed in bridging the cultural and regional differences between the Arab workers, which often escalate to open violence.

Director

RABAH AMEUR-ZAÏMECHE (*1966) grew up in France. He studied humanities and in 1999 founded his own production company. He has already made six films as director in which he sometimes also acts.
