Bingo - You got to be lucky

Story

The documentary traces the lives of five courageous country women as they grow older: their wishes, their dreams, and their hopes for the big winnings at Bingo. Born between 1933 and 1945; they belong to the ‘forgotten generation’. They are rooted in the northern German region; come from humble backgrounds and speak the local language. After a life of work, marriage, and raising children, they have to get by on very little. For them the Bingo game is a metaphor of their pursuit of happiness.
