Story
Shortly before retiring, prosecutor Mehlhorn (Hansjürgen Hürrig) invites Bella Block to dinner in order to ask her help in a tricky case. But before he can take her into his confidence, he is murdered. The investigation leads Inspector Schnaak (Rainer Bock) and Bella to a morass of corruption and abuse of office in the Hamburg judiciary and a state housing association. Who did Mehlhorn get on the wrong side of? Bella discovers explosive information in his confidential papers: a state director of construction and his sister, a well-known family court judge, a notorious property lawyer and Mehlhorn’s own superior, the Hamburg state prosecutor, are all involved in criminal machinations.
