When carpe diem is more than just a slogan on a wall: in this unconventional dramedy from Australia, a young woman facing death discovers the beauty of life. 15-year old Milla is terminally ill. Together with her family, she tries to find a way of dealing with the devastating prospect of not being around much longer. When she falls in love with small-time dealer Moses, the real nightmare begins for her parents. But through love Milla gains new confidence and energy and she begins living as she wants to, with no consideration for convention. Soon her parents recognize how much self-determined freedom there is in the apparent chaos and that it’s time to learn to let go.
