Story
A young migrant woman’s fight against an inhuman immigration system: a provocative adaptation of the Ancient Greek tragedy with an outstanding performance from the main actor. After her parents are murdered, Antigone flees from Algeria to Montreal and lives with her siblings and grandmother in a tiny flat. While the 16-year old girl achieves excellent grades at school, her brothers get caught up in criminal activities. When he is arrested and threatened with deportation, Antigone takes a radical decision to save her family – at the same time putting her own future in jeopardy.
