Story
Randolph Tiefenthaler (Heino Ferch) and his wife Rebecca (Anja Kling) have bought a beautiful 1920s house and move in with their children. The only condition for the sale was that the former owner’s brother would be allowed to continue living in the basement. Herr Tiberious’ initial considerateness quickly becomes interference (Udo Samel). He bothers first Rebecca, then the whole family, and spreads lies about them. Soon, the Tiefenthalers’ nerves are worn to a frazzle. But the police and authorities don’t see themselves in a position to intervene. Then Randolph’s father (Dietrich Hollinderbäumer), a retired policeman, offers his help. A pyschothriller based on real events written by Spiegel journalist Dirk Kurbjuweit.
