Workshops, readings, panel-discussions, and DJs – surrounding its well selected program, each year Filmfest Hamburg offers a wide range of special events.

Last year the topics of “Political Power” and the “Future of Journalism in the Digital Era” led to heated panel discussions; while European Film Promotion’s event “Don’t call us – we’ll call you” not only gave revealing insights to talent agencies but also nearly caused the festival tent to burst at its seams. After successfully completing their “research for motion pictures“ and taking home the win of legendary Filmquiz at Abaton theatre, exhausted visitors of the festival could relax and let the day come to an end whilst listening to good tunes offered up by the DJs in the tent, regenerating for another day packed with moving images…
