Martin Enlen (*1960)
worked for independent film productions
before studying directing in 1986.
With his films he is a regular guest at
film festivals worldwide.
Lukas Schauttner‘s (Oliver Stokowski) job is taking him to Romania. Ever since he left his home in Transylvania in 1987 he had been trying to dispel the past. As soon as he arrives he runs into his first love. Memories of the entanglement of his first love with the repression of the Securitate, the expatriation of his family and his huge disappointment catch up with him. His coming to terms with the past is illustrated in flashbacks of his youth in Transylvania interspersed with scenes of his current life in Germany.
