Wolfgang Joop is a fan, Karl Lagerfeld waxes lyrical about her: from the mid-1950s to 90s, Hamburg journalist Antonia Hilke made TV history with her programmes Neues vom Rond Point and Neues vom Kleidermarkt (The Latest from Rond Point and The Latest from the Clothing Market). The film mixes excerpts from more than 60 of these legendary programmes into a heady montage that not only is a look back at four decades of fashion, but also vividly recalls the years of the Wirtschaftswunder, Germany's post-war economic boom. Original footage is enhanced with interviews with associates, fans and admirers of Hilke. A rousing homage to the grande dame of German fashion journalism.
