Chloé (Marine Vacth) suffers from mysterious stomach pains. When all the medical examinations come to nothing, she seeks the advice of psychologist Paul (Jérémy Renier). After a few sessions, she already feels better and for the first time in her life has the sense of being understood. When the two fall in love, there seems no reason to continue her treatment, so she stops it. Chloé is happy and healthy – until she discovers that Paul has a twin brother who also works as a psychotherapist. L‘Amant Double is a sophisticated erotic psychothriller, superbly photographed by Manuel Dacosse (Axolotl Overkill).
