Worlds collide when a girl called Mavela and a boy called Marwan meet in the corridor of a Brussels police station. They're members of rival gangs, Mavela is in the Black Bronx and Marwan the Moroccan gang 1080. Although they're both aware of the danger they're putting themselves in, they meet in secret and fall in love. Together they want to break free of the violence of the gang world, which offers no prospects. But the clans get wind of the forbidden relationship and set a perfidious trap for the pair. At the same time both poetic and brutal, Black is a modern version of Romeo and Juliet set in the ethnic melting-pot of Brussels.
