Then Kenneth gets the news that his mother has had an accident and rushes home, leaving Theres behind. He's aware how much he needs her, but a later attempt to win her heart fails. 30 years later, in Berlin. In a crisis, 40-year old actress Ariane leaves her husband, a successful anthropologist, who moves into a flat near the main station. From his window he sees a homeless person: Kenneth, who doesn't know that Theres also now lives in Berlin. Der Traumhafte Weg is a gentle meditation on love, loneliness and the unattainability of happiness and fragmentarily and associatively choreographs the individual paths of its protagonists.
