Story
With the beautiful Croatian coast as a backdrop, this debut feature plunges into the murky depths of patriarchal power structures and tells a sensual story of empowerment. Teenager Julija lives with her parents in a place others flock to for their holidays. But in between dives in the azure waters with her father Ante, tensions are rising in the family. While her mother seems resigned to accepting her husband as he is, Julija is less and less prepared to accept his domineering behaviour. When Javier, a wealthy friend of the family, turns up, the patriarchal façade crumbles. Julija sees a chance to take her life in her hands.
